The Past Pupils of St. Joseph’s Industrial School Glin, Co. Limerick, together with their families will gather in Glin on Saturday the 19th October, 2013.
It is proposed that a Mass of Reconciliation be held and that afterwards a Monument be unveiled to all those who as children were in St. Joseph’s Industrial School.
This will be the first time that all agencies of the State will be together as one in recognition of a willingness to bring closure on all that is and has been “Institutional Abuse”.
Hi Rob thank you for the information regarding the reunion of past pupils
who were in St Joseph's Industrail School Glin, sorry I can not attend.
Hope you and family are keeping well wishing your step daughter a speedy
recovery.Take care Catherine

Hi Tom,
One of the Members of the Shame of Ireland website posted their intention to attend the Reunion at Glin.
I duly posted the event to the website so that others may know of it.
I copied verbatim from your post on the website with a link to it.
Congratulation on undertaking such an enormous task and on getting the Memorial Sorted!
Can you confirm that things are still going ahead as planned as I know of one member who is planning to travel from California in the USA.
ThanX in advance
Rob Northall
Will update you as soon as I know Something
Reply Received this morning from Tom Hayes
Yes we are going ahead- though we are having to change the venue- we will notify everybody once we have agreed new venue? Glin Development Association would not allow us to use wording from Mary Raftery on monument so we have pulled out of glin and now moved elsewhere?
Thanks
Tom
I have sent the following rEply and will keep you posted
