Hi Rob, Can you please put copies of my 2 letters up on your site for other survivors to read, and if in agreement with my aims, to get the Caranua project abandoned , in favor of a fair and proper share out of the existing funds to the remaining qualified Survivors, then perhaps email's/letter s of support from as many Survivors as possible , to both party's , would help us a lot, and show our overall feelings on the entire matter ! Whatever needs to be done, apart from protests etc , needs to be done ASAP, before we all get diddled out of our money, given to us by the Religious, but with Quinn taking control of it, and insulting us all by this illegal outfit Caranua, which any intelligent person can see, is not fit for purpose, it is illegal, and the ultimate further abuse on all Survivors, most now in their elder years. I would love to see every Survivor start some serious protest now against this sick treatment Quinn is master minding ! And hitting us with ! RE: THE STATUTORY FUND/ CARANUA  FRAUD .

 

Dear Earnest,

 

Most Survivors who had their cases heard at the RIRB, were humiliated, badly short changed, received awards that were a pittance and insult to them , and were encouraged by their respective legal teams, Solicitors/Barristers,   to sign gagging orders, (which carried various threats,  including fines, imprisonment or both),  in acceptance, or risk losing out completely on their petty awards .

 

This  was very bad advice at the time, and left a sour taste in the mouths of Survivors of Irelands shame . It also made it impossible for Survivors to ever trust Solicitors again.

 

However, being very impressed with your firms handling of Louise O Keefes recent case at the ECHR, I am writing to you to seek your assistance  by representing Survivors to this same venue,  with our issues regarding Minister Quinn’s Caranua scheme , which for all intent and purposes is illegal, corrupt ,engineered, designed and produced by Quinn in order to inflict further abuse on the remaining Survivors,  and deprive us of what is our Statutory Trust Fund, our rightful money , as contributed to us by the Religious, along with their long awaited apologies and final recognition

Of the serious injury and damage that was handed to us as Children by them ,at the various gulags and institutions of  so called Holy Ireland .

 

There is currently £110 million plus in this fund, with a promise of further money  from the sale of various properties, and lands held by the Religious.

 

The existing Survivors , mostly now in their elderly years, feel that the proper way to deal with this overall issue, is to share out this fund in an equal and fair manner , thus allowing Survivors the opportunity to decide how to spend this money, on their own quality of life, and  their families , and not to be dictated to Quinn , who effectively is high jacking our fund for his ulterior motives and administering it with criteria, rules, nonsense regulations,   terms and conditions , that makes  it virtually impossible for any Survivor to  gain a cent from what is rightfully theirs to begin with .

 

In order for Quinn to carry out this scheme, he had to effectively create a new outfit to replace our STF, and Caranua was produced, using his power and new legislation, taking up much of Survivors time, over 6 years, in which time sadly,  we lost many Survivors. 

 

Those Survivors  we lost ,    their spouses and family   are now denied any sort of  consideration for claiming what should have gone to them, 

 as his bent rules dictate !

 

The entire Caranua is a fraud, certainly not designed to help or assist Survivors, as they claim. It is a total farce , criminal , unjust, and amounts to bare faced robbery of Survivors money .

 

Ernest , I enclose various copies of Survivors posted comments to you for your perusal, I feel that after reading through it all , you will agree and see that we have a valid argument as to the disposal of OUR money, it is with out- doubt an infringement of our human rights, and only the power of the ECHR , with your assistance , would ensure that this entire illegal business  of Quinn’s Caranua, gets a just and fair hearing.

 

In this respect I, along with most Survivors ,  would ask you to please take this all on board, and represent us by taking our case to the ECHR .

 

Showing Quinn up to the world , and exposing his contemptible treatment of Survivors , who are now living all over the world.

Hi Catherine,

Thank you for your email.The funds available to Caranua cannot be split between

survivors as you describe as the legislation we come under does not allow this.

Neither the staff or the Board of Caranua can change this.Only the Government can change legislation.The Act we come under is called the Residential Institutions

Statutory Fund Act 2012.Housing assistance covers improvements and adaptation to houses. Help with rent, mortgage or properties is not covered I have

attached the information booklet which goes through the areas that Cananua can work in.On page 11 of this booklet you will find the details around housing assistance I hope this clarifies the situation for you. Kind regards,Julie Anne

Catherine , Julie is just one of QUINNS lackeys  , Employed , like Ms Higgins, to  carry out his dirty work, to parrot fashion the wording as laid down by his training school to insult the very Survivors intelligence, and endeavour to portray a great enterprise , with a fancy name , of Caranua, as something that he claims is going to be an outstanding service, showing so called human compassion , respect , dignity, and the answer to Survivors needs etc., as he see's fit !

Truth of the matter is , it is all bloody nonsense, designed very carefully to ensure that the longer it is all dragged out, with outrageous demands , rules and regulations , most of us will gradually fade away, given the speed of the  way the entire shoddy business is being handled, with barriers at every turn, ensuring further that OUR money , stays safely in his control, well out of the reach of genuine qualified Survivors!

From where I am standing, the only people that will benefit from this scheme  are the staff on his payroll, and they are certainly not Survivors, and know absolutely nothing about the plight of Irelands Shame, its ongoing damage to Survivors, its serious attempt of abusing us all over again in our elder years, God I don't know how this excuse of a man can sleep at night. !

Taking over 6 years to three times use  his ministerial power to alter legislation  of the EFB, then the STF, and finally now this Caranua  ,  dressing it up with a fancy name,  making fancy statements that it is all above board according to his criteria, must be the ultimate  insult to us ! QUOTING THIS ACT AND THAT ACT, ALL TO INTIMIDATE US !      hoping that we will all fade away , as we are doing at this time and moment, because of our elder years, our pains and sufferings and little does he care !

Just what gives him the right to hold from us,  our money, contributed by the Religious to us, with promises of maybe more from the sale of lands, buildings and properties, something most of us will never live to witness, and as much chance of seeing a cent from this Caranua  SCAM !

What is very evident is that there are serious breaches of our basic human rights , the denial of him to allow us a say in these matters, misusing his so called ministerial power,  illegally to enforce this further abuse on us,  and in doing so , is  as guilty as our Religious , who initially denied they ever hurt or abused us, until the release of many reports down the years , exposed their crimes against Irelands  Children , then suddenly there was a big turn around , the Religious admitted their crimes and apologised , and made serious efforts to redress us, only for this man to grab what was contributed to us, and control it, then making it virtually impossible for Survivors to ever benefit, from it !

There is without doubt,  a blatant crime being engineered on us again, for the second time in our lives, the same as was inflicted on Louise O keffee, but won out in the end, proving beyond doubt her claims and allegations, against this same Government, were in the end, were exposed,  and  justified !

Earnest Cantillon , the eminent Cork Solicitor , is our only hope of exposing this evil and wicked project of Quinn's, and proving that he has used and abused his powers as a Minister to his advantage , and clearly not  to our advantage ! to achieve this situation !

Write and complain to Quinn, and the other MINISTERS , at Leinster House, also support the efforts of all Survivors here to try and recruit Ernest to take up our fight, and get Quinn  in front of the ECHR, ASAP !

If we cant get any SOLICITORS to act for us on this fraud case, why not ask the RELIGIOUS ORDERS who put into the fund to intervien on our behalf and tell this Mr Quinn to stop this CARANUA LARK and give the money to the peopele it was ment for. It is quite clear to me that no SOLICITOR will take this case on as they are afraid to take the GOVERNMENT on and we are not inportent enough to take that gambel. After all who are we, just another burden on this GOVERNMENT who are just waiting for us to pass onto our graves and then they can say look what we have saved and all the funds that are left will go back to this Mr Quinn and this Mary Higgins will have taken more out of this fund than most of the SURVIVORS RECIVED. So I say again let the RELIGIOUS ORDERS DECIED WHAT IS BEST FOR THE SURVIVORS AND NOT THIS RUNT MrQuinn. LONG LIVE THE SURVIVORS AND MAY THEY BE A THORN IN QUINNS BACK SIDE FOR AS LONG AS HE IS ON THIS PLANET.

Hi John,

That's a good idea, as we have had no joy so far from Solicitors, perhaps if Survivors made an effort to email, or write to the Religious leaders of Ireland,  to intervene on our behalf and get Quinn to offer Survivors a choice of exactly what they would like , their share of the funding now, or the other  option of approaching  Caranua, with their respective requests.

I am sure the Religious would see the advantage of these proposals, it would make a lot of sense, be a fair way of allowing Survivors to bring closure on the entire sad mess that Quinn has created, and overall show Quinn that his Caranua scheme is pointless, and currently of no benefit to the "majority" of existing Survivors.

From where I am standing, the only Survivors that may benefit from Caranua, are the Survivors living in other country's around the world who do not have the benefit of an NHS , etc., as is available in Ireland and the UK.

Hi Margaret, and Rose, As previously advised on here earier this week, Earnest has indicated to me that he is unable to take up our issues at this time and moment, he was very sorry and wished us the best of luck in our pursuit of fair and overdue justice !

 

Rob will be sent all paperwork to post on site, over the next few days, inc copys of Earnests letter,& Education Minister Quinn.

Presently, i am trying to solicit the help of another Cork Solicitor, who represented many survivors, at the RIRB and i have asked Earnest to forward on all the paperwork i had sent him,  to Declan Duggan &Co ,Newline, Charleville , Co Cork, for his perusal!  

I will also be sending Declan much more paperwork ,exposing Quinn and his Cronies,in  their further attempt to ABUSE, all remaining Survivors, for the second time in their sad and depressing lives !

All letter addressed to Declan , will certainly give support to our cause,and hopefully elisit his help and willingness  to represent us, we need an enterprising , compassionate and efficent MAN, to take up our cause and Declan fits that criteria !

I have been in the wars ,along with my good Wife for the last few weeks, healthwise, so please have a wee bit more patience with me, think Rob , up there in Cardiff , has been under the weather too , and hopefully is better now,  its called the "Caranua" Bug !

Folks , over the last few months i have been very busy,banging out as much paperwork as possible, addressed to Earnest Cantillon, Government Ministers, Quinn, Kenny, Gilmore, and ewspaper reporters at the Indo, and Cork Examiner !

It has cost me quite a few pennies, Ink,  Paper, and  postage , over £70 to date, but no worrys , i have support of two very important folk in my life , in my blessed Mother , who assisted me recently , in selecting various winners at the recent Cheltenham racing venues,&  though She departed this planet many years ago,i feel her presence constantly, especially when we are enjoying crosswords, and picking winners at the races, both items we share and enjoy together !

The other important person is a guy called PaddyPower,who had no objection to us taking nearly a grand of him in the course of the four day event,it allowed me to purchase a new washing machine for my lovely  Daughter, and  a nice birthday present for me lovely loyal Mrs, Babs !

And there was enough change left to finance my project of letting Quinn &Co know exactly what i feel about this abuse on us Survivors, with his Caranua scam !

That money in the POT, is rightfuly ours , i want it now, in my elderly age, to use it to the benifit of my Wife,Children, and Granchildren !   As im sure and certain all remaining Survivors do also !

Rise up now , make your protests to Quinn, and be counted !
