The Shame of Ireland
The breach of Human Rights will have brought enormous limitations to the day to life of ex detainees.
In my case my Human Rights were breached so many times. Ireland was a signatory and has failed us.
Sean Ryan then Snr Counsel failed me by ignoring to publish St Luke`s Hospital Clonmel where I was locked away and abused beyond belief as published in Rosaleen`s Diary
The Catholic Church has failed to come out and support me . I am a victim of Ireland`s Starvation Order a punishment for families who had relatives who joined the British Army
I would be interested to hear from anyone else who was locked up at St Luke`s Mental Hospital Clonmel
I take it this is the same Sean Ryan who Chaired the Ryan Report and Was made a Judge for setting Redress for Industrial Schools bellow amounts awarded in the High Court?
Yes Indeed Rob. The Same Sean Ryan.
and when the soldiers returned was it an irish injuries board they faced with regards to their claim for compensation?
On return they never knew why their sisters or other female relatives were locked away. They visited these mental hospitals and took the girl out for dinner but left Ireland believing that there was something terribly wrong but felt that there was little could be done to free her.
was this under Dev?
Yes Dev that backstabber and Bishop Mc Quaid they almost ran the country on their own...Rosaleen
Irelands Eye issue 404 August Edition tells the story of how the Irish Government brought German children from Germany to Ireland and fed and housed them...The magazine asks how could the family have parted from the children...it was easy the Government gave them my rations and starved me because my family fought the enemy and they fought for a freedom that I was denied...Shame on Ireland and hopefully Carmel Kelly Palmer the author of the story in Ireland s Eye will have learned about Irish History...
