But michael The fact that you present things as if it was a moral issue.does not mean that all things done for us or in our name are not of much use to all of us .Most of us are aware of all the problems that confront survivers' and many of us have our own needs . YOU see its only there if we except the paperwork. Why. should it mainly be run for the family groups.  what if we do not want to apply  through the offices of rights of this or that. does that mean that we should be ignored. what if we are alone in another countrys without any information at all.Ihave learned a lot from this site and paddys.Otherwise i had very little information and yet i spent part of my childhood 9 years in g b with mrs buckley. we are only excepted by others when we follow them' but not by standing side to side as we should '. this is bullying thats all .Why should we except this at this time of our lives. As you said the state are rosponsable for all the people in the country .Not the survivers of industriel schools.

You are Quite Right Pauline,

Survivors in Canada, The United States, France, All Cotribute to this Website!

There is no Survivors Group or Outreach Worker for them, working on International Time so that you can contact them for Financial Assitance Help of Advice??

Then there are "Trust Issues" which all Survivors have; I understand as my wife is a Survivors; when Survivors feel so badly Let down over 9 Years of Mismanagement and Corruption!

NOT Least the Role of Survivors Groups in the Negociation for the Trust Fund:

The U Turn they Need to Perform on this Should be so fast and Furious that it Shoulf make heads and the H.S.E. Spin!

Survivors Groups State they are no Longer in Favour of the Trust Fund,

Yet Where are they?? Have a look @ http://shameofireland.co.uk/group/thestatutoryfund2weekstogo/forum/... for the Current Picture!

Please Contribute to this!

Thanks Rob ' Michael sounds as if he thinks that we should share his ideas.bringing up the fact that the ill and disabled all have need of support. the question that comes to mind is how does he know .?????? if you have never met someone you nor anyone else in the offices of right of,How on earth can you know anything about this person. How do you think it feels like when someone robs your right to decide what you want to do with your money. it concernes us all and above all the survivers of industriel schools.

Hi,

I have been away for a while from this site.  However I am back in full swing now. Last Wednesday I cancelled my golf to give a Talk to the U3A on my book,  there were 160 people present Men and Women.  My Talk lasted an hour. I also incorporated the so called Christian Brothers for their dastdardly behaviour. I certainly enlightened  a lot of people who knew little or nothing about the real story.  I have another two Talks next week.  Keep the flag flying.

Michael, Don't you think the RIGHT thing to do is PAY SURVIVORS THEIR RIGHTFUL COMPANSATION ,we would then be able to pay for whatever we need OURSELVES ,we are not children now .

Hello kathleen 'Its nice to see you back in here . Keep telling people about whats going on . and what went on in the years you were imprisoned . Otherwise the impression given now by the media is that we are being treated differently . thats just not true and its very unfair to all who supported our years of battle' including our children..

Hi Pauline and all.

I had an Irish Catholic woman who tried to support the Irish Educational system given by the HOLY Nuns during my talk.  I agreed with her that if you were on the receiving end you did well, however I was not, and that thousands OF IRISH CATHOLIC CHILDREN WERE LIKE ME.   They discriminated between the Rich and the Poor.  How Christian is that.  She did not continue.

Thank you Michael for Posting this!

There is a Discussion underneath the Petition on Paddy's Site that raises a few issues!

1. The Change in Membership from 1,500 to 1,750?

2. The Fact that Sally Mulready has Signed the Petition

Stating "I am Chairperson of the Irish Women Survivors Support Network. But it should be quite clear that I signed in my own right and NOT on behalf of the members of the Irish Women Survivors Support Network. It is obvious that people, who sign, do so on their own behalf and not on behalf of an organization or support group. As I understand it Paddy, only individual signatures count.?"

3. The Identity of "Michael Walsh"

Other than this I think his presence on Paddy's Site is Great!

He himself is a Survivor and his openness is to be Commended!

Will the New Board of the Right of Place Ratify the Letter to the Revenue Commissioners? @

http://shameofireland.co.uk/group/actiononsurvivorsgroupsnothingabo...

SOCA Ireland, Alliance.Org and other Groups are Silent on this matter?

Their input would be more than welcome I am Sure!!!

We do not benefit in any way by these groups at all .It does not make any difference who is in charge . Thay are all alike. its all for show .Why should we continue .Why do you as a person want these groups to go on pretending to help all survivers.Hundreds of us live all over the world .We only have information thanks to internet . What about the ones who dont even know that money meant for them is being used by people thay dont even know . And we should have rights to our own names. When the groups talk of confidelity who is being protected from whom.

I recently contacted the education trust fund regarding a trip for my grandson which would benefit his geography GCSE, it is a two day course organised by his school.

They replied it was not within the criteria of the fund.

So much for education support for survivors depandants.

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY THESE FUNDS REALLY ARE.
