Well the only ones from goldenbridge who go to the aisleen centre are close friends of hers. one of the things i was asked by christine was to say in my attestion that everything she had said was true . we were in g b together and i have my own memories. when i see vidios of christines storys of herself well i dont feel at all that she is talking about the christine i knew. whenever any one says anything about others she quickly brings the attention back on herself. talking on the tele about being in dublin in the middle of the night and seeing church leaders alive and bringing tea to starving survivers. whats that about . does that mean she just happened to pass by. and she lived on the landing in another vidio. thats not true. nor is it true that the head nun XS would run after her. as for the burns and split leg well that did not happen when she was a child . the last time i saw christine in g b  she was 15 years old . What she has done is very cruel as only the very very meek can get into the aisleen centre.

She has invented a bond between her and the abuser. the head nun of g b dident even notice us unless it was to insult us. She used her olive stick on all of us . In one vidio she claimes that she wrote a 40 page letter to XS but i would have loved to see it because otherwise we were all treated like third class. that x s said that to her in the 80ths is very surprising. where and how thay met i cant imagine. Or the nuns have changed.

Dear Editor,

Mary Raftery was a remarkable person. She shone a light into the hidden past of Ireland, exposing the horrors of the industrial schools and laying bare a crime against humanity for long covered up and denied. Her bookSuffer the Little Children and the brilliant States of Fear TV series appeared before the Ryan Report, alerting us to the shattering catalogue of shame that was slowly approaching publication.

She revealed the truth about what we now refer to increasingly as the "Irish Gulags", where boys and girls cowered in terror from people who beat, bullied, and traumatized them on a daily basis or scarred their lives with sexual abuse.

In the Christian tradition there are many men and women who have been elevated to sainthood. Mary Raftery, who uncovered the activities of human beings who hid behind masks of religion and clerical prestige, is in my opinion a lot closer to whatever God is out there than any clerical institution or pulpiteering preacher could ever be.

For this dedicated journalist did what they in spite of all their power and splendor could not bring themselves to do: She used the truth to set people free.

Thanking you,

John Fitzgerald

I dont think that it was about religion to her. It seemed to be empathy.

Kathleen: if group leaders are paid that sounds like they are paid by somebody. who? why? i thought groups were set up by the survivors!

A very very valid point there Pauline, very valid point indeed. No doubt, you will NOT get an answer to that.

How many trips abroad like holidays ,visiting family or friends abroad , Posh Hotels, Spending on family or friends ,Homes, expensive goods,or any other things those groups  spent the huge amount of Funding on , How come survivors are still neglected and some still homeless. unless they open their books for an independent inspection  until that is done independently  we don't know . What are we supposed to think?? many never recieved any help whatever, and that includes myself,   STOP FUNDING THOSE GROUPS AND PAY THE SURVIVORS DECENT OVERDUE COMPANSATION that is rightfully theirs .Not hold onto it in Government coffers they call THE STATUARY TRUST FUND. That money belongs to the survivors . NOT TO GROUP LEADERS THAT  THEY LIKE TO CALL THEMSELVES. OR THE GOVERNMENT.The dept of education makes me sick ,and as for the education fund It was impossible to be able to talk to anybody in the Dublin office , my niece tried to get some help with University  fees but was told by some woman who couldn't be bothered on the phone that it was to compliciated as she didn't live in Ireland so my niece worked her own way through University..  SHAME ON ALL OF THEM CORUPT LOT.
