The Shame of Ireland
its sad, that he was born into a society that kept him away from his mum.
Its sad that she spent her whole life in a Magdalene Laundry.
Its sad that as a man the only gift he can give to his mum is to arrange flowers on her grave.
Its sad that 3 brothers grew up in different institutions unknowing about one another.
Its sad that even today even though they have contact details the nuns wont release or make contact for each brother.
The state may have apologized, the reality is that the heartbreak continues for so many family members.
