We need to get our points made as part of the review thats going to take place, i have requested a meeting with the minister to tell him what must happen i dont see how they can refuse this, so will post here if and when so anyone who wishes can take part, it would be good if we could if we could put a document together outlining the issues we have.

I have just seen the government are distance itself from Caranua calming it is an independent body operating with money from the Catholic Church well if that is there mentally surely that covers all money given also all land given with there statements in the Dail it is nothing to do with us.This is the first indication that all money and land belong to survivors

I was talking to the daughter of a survivor last night, her mother is 80 years of age her daughter is highly educated, they are being frustrated at every turn by caranua, the usual caranua nonsense, refusing to accept electronic quotes, constantly changing the goal posts, insulting and degrading treatment the stuff we all know so well, what struck me was what if this 80 year old woman was by herself how would she be able to cope with caranuas bullcrap, she actually dumped the application form in the bin, to treat an 80 year old woman like this is beyond any level of human decency and into the realms of out right abuse.

This is the same problem all survivors are having if they are even contacted they create problems regardless of age or disability
Government body's set up to look after themselves with no accountability This has to be the lowest of the low.

It doesnt get any lower William, for a service paid for by us to then turn around and treat us like this is criminal.

All that can be said on this is when you have a second rate teacher running the country it leaves the country open to all sorts of fraud Caranua is just the tip of an iceberg.

What needs to be asked now who is in charge of Caranua The government is claiming it is an independent body run with Catholic Churchs money.So is the government responsible or the Catholic Church or is Caranua free to spend the fund anyway the like. As usual the Abusers are ducking there responsibly and trying to distance themselves from any responsibility for the abuse suffered by survivors.Should a woman of eighty have to suffer more at the hands the likes of the Caranua board that are not fit to wipe her shoes
