The Shame of Ireland
I was Contacted today by a Member who was Having dificulty posting to the Website, Robert asked me to copy and paste on his behalf!
So Here it is
I trust this email meets with you in good health.
I have been asked to write to you on regarding the Caranua as we survivors are very upset with this so called survivor fund as it has turned out to be what seems a massive WAGE STRUCTURE organized by the previous Education Minister Quinn to what is supposed to be the Statutory Fund, where these wages so far have massively outweighed the payments to survivors thus far.
Absolutely shocking indeed.
We are seeking to still challenge this fund once named the Statutory fund that has also been renamed as the CARANUA Fund yet not one survivor was explained to why this title came about and how and why it replaces the title Statutory fund.
We absolutely REFUSE to back down on this matter as this fund has now been seen as to SEPARATE ONCE AGAIN CHILD FROM PARENT, the exact same damage that first caused by the Irish Government State and Religious.
Here is the question I have sent out to all survivors as we have the right to ask.
Hi Folks I am writing to say I trust a published statement will be in a National Papers very soon, as I am now challenging the Caranua and the Education Office on cover ups. WHY should the CEO and staff be qualified for a better life than survivors, using survivors money to finance their hugh wages and yet they separate Parents from Children once again as they did all those years ago. The Irish Government have NEGLECTED our CHILDREN the ONLY ones who have not received one cent in funding yet they go to school in second hand clothing secondhand books second hand everything while the Caranua staff's families PROSPER ON OUR MONEY AS DID THE RELIGIOUS WHEN WE WERE CHILDREN.
We all see this fund as a massive breach of our confidentiality rights as we have to answer and prove that we received redress which all survivors greatly feared the penalty of speaking about as our agreement. We HAVE to say who we are once again and now declare we received redress to STRANGERS who were not part of the agreement. These people we do not know or they may know survivors without us knowing etc.etc. Favoritism can take place also as we are being not asked but forced to accept their decisions with our money, this money does not belong to the Education office in any way shape or form it was money donated by the people of Ireland for Charity status, and that removes it from Government hands, as the tax payer already paid tax before donating this money in the name of the poor to the Religious.
Minister Quinn set this fund up with his employee a Mary Higgins and made her a CEO for a wage from the 110 million fund to the sum of above 80,000 euro a year plus expenses from this fund. Then went on to employ other top candidates to run this fund of over 70,000 each I believe the full structure of the wage bill and titles are already available to you and all members.
Clare can you please ask the house on behalf of us survivors why "CHILDREN" are being SEPARATED ONCE AGAIN FROM THEIR PARENTS after all this time to the SHAME on these Parties in power, they apologized for separating children from parents that caused destruction of Family life and then do just that all over again to pay hugh wage structures that well outweigh the needs of those who suffered all this abuse by the separation of family life in the first place.
This is total exploitation of our families once again and a complete arrogant way of dealing with this fund.
We survivors demand that this FUND now stops and is put on hold before all money is wasted on these massive wage structures , that this fund is revisited and investigated properly, as our CHILDREN are not a separate entity they are a UNIT a FAMILY who are one of the very same that suffer ongoing neglect by the Government in power. It is only fair that the Government do this properly and stop ducking and diving the issues regarding this abuse of Irish Family life.
This is a scandal a down right further injustice of Irish Society.
We are now also seeking further advice to challenge this fund in a higher court for sure, as we simply cannot sit back and witness once again the lack of responsibility the Education Minister has shown toward survivors.
I finally add this Mary Higgins CEO did promise in two separate meetings with survivors when confronted by myself why there has been no Health Minister No Social Protection Minister or Justice Minister involved with survivors directly on urgent needs of these areas in survivors lives? She said she would get in touch with the Health Minister the Welfare Social Protection Minister and Justice Minister and see how survivors could be helped in /by these departments Is there any proof of this to date? What work has been carried out to date by the CEO on these matters?
Is it not obvious that those who suffered abuse in all areas need special treatment? after all the lives they live are the lives they were dealt or has the Government decided to Ignor the damage done?
Can survivors children please be included in these funds YES OR NO? May the Irish Governments in POWER show their TRUE COLOURS ? their answer will be published world wide.
Please remind Richard Boyd Barrett on his massive speech on the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Bill 2012 since that day he was right the BULL shat so much.
Thank you Clare once again for your support
My Reply from Clare Daly's office on Caranua to be closed Hi Robert,
Thanks for your email. Clare is away on holidays at the moment. We will submit a parliamentary question about getting the terms of the scheme changed, the Dáil will not sit until 17 September so we will not get a reply until about a week after that but I will forward it to you then.
(On behalf of Clare Daly TD)
