The Shame of Ireland
Hi all caranua has there customer charter, why dont we put together a charter of our own all sign it and send it in to them,
It could include stuff like,
Any possible discrimination arising from guidelines must be dealt with as a matter of urgency.
Survivors must be given the same human rights and treated in the same manner as any other group.
Lay persons \ non medical professionals cannot go against the medical advice and direction provided by a medical professional.
Theres plenty more we could put in, every one could be a part of it and let them know just how out of touch with the real needs of survivors they are, would love to know peoples toughts on this, thanks Michael
Lads we are fighting for survivvors and their chlidrens rights here, dont think that just because you put your name to something that caranua can stop any help they are giving you, they cannot and would be breaking the law if they did, doesnt matter if you have got everything you asked for, there are survivors here who need to be helped, survivors who are being discriminated against, survivors who are having there legal rights as a human being trampled all over, all we have is each other lets fight for each other, worried about spelling, grammar nobody here cares about stuff like that, Rob has being fighting this fight for a very long time lets give him the respect he deserves and keep pushing because they are breaking the law in regard to human rights, discrimination and going against the very legislation that they should be living by. Thanks Michael
Has anybody contacted the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission http://www.ihrec.ie/about/ just joined today
Hi Marylou what happens there is a lawyer will have a quick look at any issue you have raised, then send you an application form, its quite legal sounding but not a problem, dont worry about section 3a,b,c with deals with legal points. Then you wait for at least six weeks for a decision on what kind of help they will give from advice up to legal representation. Michael
Which not with of course :-)
A google adwords campaign targeting caranua would let any one whos searching for caranua know whats really going on, something i think i might get started on over the next few weeks, anyone here thats well up on adwords let me know, any tips advice most welcome Michael
Thanks for the support Melissa, it would be nice to get people behind a document we could deliver to caranua. Michael
Another item for our charter,
There most be at least 2 survivors, one male one female involved in the day to day running of caranua not on the board but within caranuas staff to protect our interests and fight for survivors and ensure there is no wastage of our fund.
Another item for our charter,
If caranua is worried about sustaining the fund perhaps take a pay cut.
Cut out all the needless red tape, do your job and help survivors access there own funds.
Make sure that there is a written record of all complaints and whats done about it.
In regards to pending changes any survivor who would now be entitled to something they were previously refused for should be contacted by caranua and informed of this.
