Committee of Public Accounts.

By the nature of its role as the public spending watchdog, the Committee of Public Accounts is one of the most powerful Oireachtas Committees.

It has a key role to play in ensuring that there is accountability and transparency in the way Government agencies allocate, spend and manage their finances and in guaranteeing that the taxpayer receives value for money for every euro spent. 

What's on this week

The Public Accounts Committee will meet in Public Session at 9am on Thursday 13 April 2017 in CR3 LH2000.

Hi Seanie , don't laugh, here is an e-mail I sent to Caranua last week.Hi Mary[ these people] Higgins, as you are ever so pious and it is holy week, and I know you will be ever so busy praying for us, would it be possible to get in touch after Easter to discuss a few concerns I have about my friend Caranua, if so, I shall be indebted to you eternally, as a matter of fact,  I shall write a letter to Rome and initiate a drive for your beautification, the same way you laughingly initiated  good practice, as promised to Mr Whelan the appeals officer
