Caranua is an independent Irish State body working to support the needs of survivors of institutional abuse. It does this by responding to applications from eligible survivors and providing assistance with services that improve quality of life and prevent institutionalisation in later life. It also provides support, information and advocacy to survivors, builds public awareness of the effects of institutional abuse and the capacity of public services to recognise and respond to the needs of survivors.
Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of application advisors, the Director of Services will be responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of all Caranua services for applicants, ensuring high quality services that have a positive impact on the lives of survivors.
