hi; Michael, sorry I dont have a lot of memory from my time in artane in regards to names of the other lads that were with me in Artane. I left in 1955 august and moved to London 9 months later and blocked out all of my time in school. 3 years in the Nuns at Drogheda and 9 years in Artane. When I arrived in London I blotted out all of my years away and did not ever dwelve on them. It was 50 years until I returned to Ireland. Had a visit to the school

Welcome Michael...I hope you are well - at least you are all out of the criminal society that is Ireland - so sadly - I was out for a few years but did not realise what I had come back to until it was too late...
Good morning Michael, Then you have walked a mile in my shoes, it was a rocky road if you had shoes to wear but never the less we walked it. I finished up in the SAS and saw action in the jungle as a special forces at age 21 five years after my release from Glin and the fighting in the jungle was a cake walk compared to what I would later lie, calling Glin, St. Joseph's ( A COLLEGE FOR SENIOR BOYS ) to my new friends, I hope they never found out. I had one one occasion parachuted into Minden, Germany to work with NATO forces and whilst there visited Bergen Belsen, before going through the entrance which was still as it was back in 45, the birds were singing in the tree's but when I entered that terrible place I was struck into shock, silence, it was if I had lost all hearing I looked at the mounds of earth with signs saying here lie 5,000 here lie 2,000 and the gas brick chambers, I cried unashamed, Glin was still my constant companion without any signs. Years later I went back to Ireland and to my torture chamber in Glin, it was being demolished to my satisfaction, I wondered to the graveyard just up the road and searched the gravestones for names, Bergen Belsen must never be forgotten and neither must Glin or any other Belsen in Ireland. Just a little part of my life Michael.
