The day began at Daingean Reformatory with the shrill sound of the nightwatchman's hand-bell as he paraded up and down the centre of the dormitory shouting, "Come on, wakey wakey! Get out of those beds and get dressed before Brother Stack gets in!"
Brother Stack was .he Kerryman in charge of the dormitories and the wash-house and his round face was perpetually flushed with anger. He would arrive to take over from the civilian nightwatchman at 7.30 a.m. By then we would all have our beds made and would be lined up ready for the next phase of the never-changing daily ritual.
Thank you Jack for making me a member,I will try and help others as much as I can.We are stronger together, and we have a voice.Always know your enemies weakness,in this case it's money. No one should give them a penny in church until they right this wrong. We must not allow them to make us victims, and hit them where it hurts. We should never again stay in the shadows feeling the shame which abuse inflicts on us.Bless you all and stay strong for all those who have passed and give them their voice too.We need to find out has this money been fairly distributed and why some caseworkers are bullying and arrogant. With the big stick of the threat the fund is finishing in 2017.
Thanks again Jack.
Thanks Jack. Wish I could get your orangutan to you. I was thinking about that just today. e-mail me your physical address again at SallieOElkordy@aol.com and I will attempt a different delivery service. It's special or I wouldn't bother twice.
