Whispering Hope events and a few other bits

My sister received a letter from Irish Women Survivors on behalf of the Trustees of Whispering Hope.

Dates of meetings if any one interested 

Bright trip

Annual outing takes place on Tuesday 22nd of September.

Pick up will be at 8am from the London Irish Centre .   Or you can be picked up outside Stockwell Station (by the swan pub) at 8:45am  Men and women survivors are invited to come along.

Women Meeting

Mazenod Community Hall, Quex Road, Kilburn. From 12noon to 3pm on October 10th. The nearest tube station is Kilburn (Jubilee Line).  Please call if you need any further information about meeting (number as above

Whispering Hope will be meeting with the Caranua Board in September and hopefully will have more information at Whispering Hope's meeting October.  

Whispering hope has stated. "It will not be possible to deal with individual esquires at this meeting but if you wish to speak to any staff at Whispering Hope on this matter, we are here to assist you at the office or by phone". " we can also undertake home visits to anyone who is unable to Travel due to mobility or any other disability". 

As Whispering Hope is having a meeting with Caranua. Why have they not asked survivors What sort of questions they could ask Caranua on their behalf?

Such questions could be asked such as why are survivors advisers being changed on a regular basis?

Why can you no longer send in a quote viva email? 

Why is it taking so long for survivors to be appointed advisers, as some are waiting weeks/months

to just send in their applications? 

I am sure there are a lot more questions on that can be asked on their behalf to Caranua.

Just a thought: If survivors are not represented by a survivors groups, Why is it they can not have a meeting with Caranua because Whispering hope only represent people in the London area. I know there are other groups in other major cities but what about survivors in rural areas who do not have the means or transport to get into the major cities. Who represents them?

Another thought if you wanted too. How do you set up an official survivors group?  

Why is there not a change of survivors every year or two on the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Board and Caranua Board.

There's more to this letter than meets the eye, as the Charity Commissioners are investigating "Whispering Hope" The IWSSN Voluntary Acrion Camden and it's Trustees!

Good Morning.

I received a call, l re the recent letter received by some Survivors (I am not on their list) about the wording. "Compensation" there in.

.Personally I don't care about the  views of the Government or Religious, but I can't recall them ever admitting liability for their satanic behaviour, however the  term "COMPENSATION" WAS USED.

AT NO TIME DID EITHER BODIES ACKNOWLEDGE  GUILT AND OFFERED "AWARDS" to the Survivors from the Redress Board.

I understand the questionaire asked for details of monies received.! VERY INTERESTING!!!!!

The Redress Board threatened a fine of $20.00  or Two Year Imprisionment. should the recipient disclose details of their Award. Allegedly,  Please correct me if I am wrong.!

Has Power gone to the heads of the authors of this letter.!

I feel there may be people quivering in their boots with this exposure.

Morning Kathleen,

The letter and survey my sister received from Whispering Hope also asked details of compensation received.

My sister and I are not even part of Whispering Hope, We went twice when they where based at Camden Town. The first was just to see what it was all about, the second time we went there, no one there. We where really pissed off with that we had to travel up from the south coast. So we never bothered with them anymore.

The thing is run by two girls we know who went to Lakelands Convent with us. Sally, cant remember the other girls name, the brain is gone this morning.

Caranua also asked the same regarding compensation when you first apply, I informed them I was informed by the redress board I could not disclose that information.

Caranua are being a pain at the moment, I sent them a quote via email their reply to me was

Dear Berni,

 

Will you please post me the original as our Finance team no longer accept email quotes.

No explanation why that is.

I think they are trying to stall people any way they can, I would not mind as I can't claim for much as I live in a council house. If I try to claim for anything medical I am informed I need a doctors recommendation letter when I know others do not need a letter.

One of the authors of the letter is Sally Mulready and the other I believe is Phillis Morgan.  

Both parties I understand are involved with Caranua so who's side are they on? I believe their own. I am confused, how can you sit on a Panel for the Irish Government and appear to be working in the interest of the Survivor.

I had never heard of "Whispering Hope" prior to receiving that telephone call.  We should ask who is funding this Group and where is the money coming from and going to.  This scam continues.

Survivors stand up and do something.  Where are your voices.

As for Caranua I understand the monies will have gone within the next eighteen months.  All  One hundred and ten Million euros.??????????

Yes Sally and Phyllis where in the same convent as me and my sisters.

I know Sally had a hard time with the nuns, dont remember Phyllis much but my sisters remember them well as they are in the same age group and where in the same groups as them.

Too many questions need asking, the problem is if you are not in these groups, Who do you direct your quires and get information from. Caranua tells you nothing.

I doubt that the Dept of Justice and Equality (Ireland) would not be content with two of their trusted workers were actually giving out misleading information or entrapment.

Hi,

Phyllis Morgan was working at the London Irish Survivors centre until about 18 months ago. She contacted me to fill in a form for Whispering Hope about Caranua.

I filled it in and sent it back even though I'm not entitled.  Phyllis asked me how much the award was and I think I told her.....I can't remember....I was too poorly.

This all sounds a bit crooked to me.

Hi Elizabeth.

I have no regard or respect for what the Redress Board implemented with  their secrecy vow, however should a Survivor decide to expose it, they should, but it must be that persons choice.  For another person especially one representing the Womens Group to ask   was certainly abusing a position of trust especially as you say you were ill at the time.

To say the least very suspicious.  This matter should be investigated.
