IT IS TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE THE CLAIMS THE GROUPS ARE MAKING ON THE HEADS OF SURVIVORS.
JUST SOME OF THE FAILINGS.
1. FAILED TO REPRESENT ALL SURVIVORS FULLY.
2 WE HAVE A STATUTORY FUND
3. WE HAVE A MEMORIAL BUILT BY A COMPANY NOT SURVIVORS, ON A RELIGIOUS GROUND ONLY A HANDFUL OF SURVIVORS WERE INVITED.
4. THE HUSH UP ON THE STATUTORY PANEL AND MEMORIAL AS THEY BURY US ALIVE
5. WELFARE SITUATIONS.
6. HOMELESSNESS.
7. DISABILITIES FINANCES
8. REST HOMES FINANCES
9. HOSPITAL FINANCES.
10 CHILDREN OF SURVIVORS WERE EXEMPT FROM EDUCATION FUND AND ALL FUNDS
11. NO PERSONAL APOLOGY IN WRITING TO ALL SURVIVORS.
12. ACCORDING TO THE MEDIA MONEY WENT MISSING.
13. EDUCATION FUND BY AN EDUCATION MINISTER FIRST ON THE AGENDA
14. NO RESEARCH DONE ON THE VERY BASIC NEEDS OF SURVIVORS.
15 NOT ENOUGH STAFF TO COVER THE GROUND OF THOSE NEEDS OF SURVIVORS.
16.NO MEDIA COVERED ON THE STRUGGLES OF SURVIVORS.
17. WELFARE OFFICES REMOVING HARDSHIP FUNDS REDRESS BEING USED TO PAY FOR STRUGGLING SURVIVORS,
18. A TOTAL COST OF THE REDRESS BILL PUBLISHED TO SHOCK THE PUBLIC BUT NO TAX RETURNS THE GOVERNMENT MADE/MAKES ON THAT BILL TO PROTECT THE SURVIVORS.
19. NO PUBLISHING OF THE FUNDS BILL PROPERLY.
20. WHO BENEFITTED MOST BY THE EDUCATION FUND SURVIVORS? OR THEIR FAMILIES? NO DETAILS YET AGAIN THE ( EDUCATION ) MINISTER FORCED THROUGH THIS YET AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME.
21 THE CHRISTMAS BOX WAS REMOVED LIKE MANY MUCH NEEDED FUNDS SURVIVORS NEED,
WITH NO OBJECTION BY YOU GROUPS SURVIVORS ARE FAMILIES WITHOUT FAMILIES NO FAMILY CALLS TO THEIR DOORS AT CHRISTMAS, YOU THE GROUPS ALLOWED THE GOVERNMENT TO JUST TAKE THIS AWAY, ONE FUND THAT SURVIVOR'S CHILDREN COULD HAVE HAD. SHAME ON YOU ALL.
22 ALL RIGHTS OF ALL SURVIVORS HAVE NEVER BEEN PUBLISHED REGARDING WELFARE THE MOST IMPORTANT SUPPORT FOR THE POORER SURVIVORS A TOTAL DISGRACE, WHY? BECAUSE YOU ALL FAILED SURVIVORS AND THEIR NEEDS TO LIVE SOME KIND OF LIFE.
23. YOU COULD HAVE FAUGHT FOR A SIMPLE LIST OF RIGHTS SO SURVIVORS COULD UNDERSTAND AND DEMAND ON WELFARE HEALTH AND HOMELESSNESS ISSUES. SHOCKING.
24 ALL MONEY GIVEN AND PAID HAVE NOT BEEN ACCOUNTED FOR.
JUST SOME VAST MOST IMPORTANT AREAS WHERE SMALL GOUPS ARE FAILING OVER 18000 SURVIVORS AND THEIR FAMILIES A LOT OF PEOPLE THERE ALONE NO SORRY GROUPS YOU FAILED SO PLEASE CLOSE DOWN NOW. I GIVE YOU MY VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE OUT OUT OUT.

the Irish care system has failed thousands of Irish children whether detained in children's homes or prisons. Irish governments don't do care. prisons are full of child abuse victims. some if not many have special needs. mess with one generation and the next will show up the wrong doing of the previous government and others involved in 'care'.

Enda Kenny, the Teoseach, is to ask the Pope for his divine intervention and prayers to help his native Mayo win the football final. (from todays independent)
Maybe while he is at it, he could also request the same Divine intervention from the Pope, to get his Roman Catholic Church to extract from its massive Vatican wealth the necessary finance that would enable the Irish Government to properly redress the vast amount of Victims / Survivors that suffered so much from the Crimes and Wicked Sins of his Holy Empire ,FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL. ! Not forgetting that the Irish State were just as guilty for all the Damage inflicted on Irish Children, a Fact that somehow does not seem to merit as much ,if not, more importance, than a Bloody football game!
How about it Enda, you never know, it might earn you some respect, and the first step on the ladder to being made a Saint.

the education thing always struck me as strange .. what next? an Irish holocaust museum?

survivors" awards" (what no compensation?) should not be alternative to welfare but quiet seperate.

All survivors are not equal Jack, some are more equal than others, when you think of the Survivors that set up so called Support Groups, they managed to get funding out of the Gov dept's, HSE, and the Religious, so i dont feel that we are all equal, many here are Survivors, but have no desire to have a well funded flash lifestyle at the expense of fellow Survivors, with hundreds of names they got by hook or by crook.
I see this site as more of a members club, like Paddys site, where we can support each other, have debates, and share our common interests. While many of these so called Groups seek donations, you dont get asked for a penny here or on Paddys site, but as we saw recently, we helped to keep this site going, when we were made aware of the situation, thats Survivors working for each other, in my book.
Can you see the 1500 so called members of ROP/sc doing the same for their leaders?

There are plenty of Memorial's all over Ireland Robert, only we know them as the Gulag's we suffered in, and its a fact that most of them are still standing, And there are still plenty of burial plots at these locations.
Keep strong Robert, we all share the same pain.
