James that is a good one!  :)  i think alot of survivors would say they are indeed the thrivers!

Yes Jack, to a point your right, but I would love it if all survivors were equal, sadly that is not the case, quite a lot now are running groups, well funded by the state, and some by religious, and donations etc., which in my eyes make them more equal than the survivors they illegally claim to represent !

Your right Pauline, all you refer to is pretty normal, and the way of the world, but the fact that this same world has millions of victims of Religious Abuse , mainly Children , well nothing about that strikes me as being normal !

The R/C/Church has a hell of a lot to answer for, and for all the victims/survivors

of Church and State, normality has been kicked out of our lives !

Christmas should be a very happy time for everybody, but sadly it is a time of year that many struggle with, and despair about, that's very definitely not normal, its not something you can switch off, but have to deal with!

Sorry Pauline, despite that, I am aware that it is part and parcel of the crap we inherited from our experiences, and we are not alone, we need to be there for each other, and carry on doing our best to survive, these were lessons we never signed up for, or agreed !

Keep strong, you never know, strange things are happening daily, and the mighty Quinn could spring a surprise on all survivors for Christmas, and delight us with a card /turkey voucher/ Christmas cake /Hamper/ interim redress payment, or such like, a compassionate gesture, now that would be normal !

Hold your breadth !

Best wish's

birthdays can be a problem too!

Well jack, I have had 70 of them in my life, some happy, and some miserable, but these days I just take it one at a time, and I only have to endure another 30 ,to qualify for a telegram from the Queen ! Ha!

hello James.  for some of us our details were wrong. a deliberate act of deception.

Comment by james moy on December 9, 2013 at 9:40

Hi Jack, yes, your correct, many of us were subject to all sorts of deception, on top of the problem of being born into a country that was anything but Holy, Caring and had a record that Hitler would have been proud of !

Despite all that Jack, have a Happy Christmas, and get busy with the decorations as the fit man in Wales is doing !

I'm dreading the climb up into the loft , but her indoors has given me my orders !

but have to show willing.!
