The Shame of Ireland

The Shame of Ireland

This is a photo of the Education board members in 2006. I have recently had a run in with the board and demanded the return all documents regarding myself and family and remove all information on me from their data base. This outfit is not fit for purpose.

Well heres chrissy again. but how many people work and are paid by this board. After all many of us have gotten by with what we had as an education. and the ones who have written of thier experence seem upset by whats really offered. on paper it might look fair but in reality its only for a few who have stayed in ireland. its wastefull and only to keep these people in well paid situations.

The education board is very complicated ,so many forms and letters, and the wait to see if your application has been successful. In all it takes eight months before you receive any money. All courses require a deposit or payment in full before you start.I borrowed the money to pay for the course only to find the education board would reimburse me for half of the total amount.I did state that I was borrowing the money when I applied. It would have been helpful if they had told me they were only paying half. Now I am left to pay the remainder.

yes everyone is having the same problem so this means the staturary fund will be no different ! i have just read the full proposed load of rubbish they can close it at any time then then exchecker gets it all very nicely put together to stop us getting any money ,how can the very people who are the defendents take back what was put in by cori soley for the survivors ! have any say in this it cnnot be legal ? they should pay up[ off and let us have control of what we want and need without the begging bowl i have a barrister looking at it to see if its legal maybe we should counter sue them for taking what is ours before we are all dead and gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing I will say is that I was not doing badly with the past totally blocked out of my mind ,then a huge mistake I returned to My Country and all I met was Abuse ,there was no help anywhere noone wanted to know.meaning those so called services it was because of them I lost a fortune they upset me so much, I was Abused again ,+ shouted at How dare I come back to Ireland bringing down the catholic church with my Protastant name , this was shouted at me . I was even told by a so called group leader who spent No time wanting to talk to me ,she talked AT me telling me to go back to England. Services My Bottom. Parhaps They thought I might take some of their fame away , I do remember most things that happened  to whome and where in that Reformatory, I know who the Pet's were who had far more privilages than the rest of us .  We should all apply to the European Court if Justice for as sure as Hell we have not had Justice.

when i joined this site i had a feeling some members maybe had been through the abuse commission and the redress scheme and not got joy. i had been to the abuse commission and it was ABUSE. i had not then yet applied to redress scheme. i thought to myself i can run or stay. running away was not an option. i fought for justice many years ago under the previous conservative government (uk). i want to know about survivors who have not had joy. people like me can learn from them. perhaps it is true to say none of us will ever receive an offer (settlement) that truely reflects what we have suffered because of childhood abuse. now yet another "opposition" is in office and as so often is the case no different than the one's turfed out!  we are power united and each a piece of the jigsaw.
