Welcome Rosaleen!
Thanks Jack nice to be back and home from hospital having been given the all clear after cancer surgery.
I notice Jack that your website is for Survivors of the Magdalene Laundries and the Industrial schools. As these Institutions do not describe me I shall keep my comments brief. I did know a lady her initials were J M who told me that she was transferred to Ireland`s mental Institution for being caught shoplifting in UK, she seemed to get wound up easily I guess that pattern of behaviour was part of the reason she ended up there ...As I am a poet I will leave a verse and good luck to all...
The Convict of Clonmel
How hard is my fortune how vain my repining
The strong rope of death for this young neck is twining
My strength is departed my cheeks sunk and sallow
While I pine in my chains in the jail of Cluan Meala
Happy Birthday Dr Rosaleen!
