The Shame of Ireland

Hello to all Survivors,  has anyone got information as to what is happening with caranua,   Eileen Mcmahon promised another meeting in January or February but nothing so far.   Can anyone shed information on what is going on as we all feel caranua should be closed,  I applied for financial help (as the money is ours) some time ago,  have heard nothing so the lady that received 38.000 was a very lucky lady,  would like to know how long she had to wait for help. but would like to know how she received that much when I read that if we managed to receive financial help it would only be 7773 euros, where is the justice.

I agree the mathematics don't stack up!

They treating on a First Come first served basis.

Would need to look at their guidelines for limits?

I believe there are other anomalies too?

Will have a scout around tomorrow!

I have to say that I have found Caranua to be really helpful.

Hello all, I have been totally rejected from any of the Caranua funding. I find this totally wrong, I need a lot of dentist work and I've been told that I don't qualify even though I won a case with redress last year.

These people don't care at all x x

Hi Elizabeth, you can appeal any decision made by Caranua. Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I wasn't aware of appealing. I may give it a go.

It makes me feel as though I am totally unimportant to them, just a menace that won't go away. They made me this way....with every action there has to be a consequence.

Do try and appeal!
