In its latest Periodic Report the committee says that after 16 years, the ongoing delay is not acceptable and could also lead to additional costs to the State because of remedial work that may be required on transferred properties which have fallen into disrepair.

I have wondered about this for a while. The governments dont upset the rich. The catholic Church in Ireland own so much propertys and land that thay are among the richest. Schools hospitals convents and all the other places thay run has made them very powerfull. The politians have thier support and that works both ways.Thay are allowed to interfere in politics which thay do as we all know.It appears that the government are scared of them.
