The Shame of Ireland

The Shame of Ireland

Remember the lost and the lonely this Christmas day - and every other day.

All that glitters is not gold

Behind all the glitter, the flashing neon and the mood music there are many people outcast from society - cast into the shadow by a shamed system.  Many who went through the Industrial Schools system ended up on the streets; many of them lived short, desperate lives before succumbing. We mustn't forget them.

In the industriel schools we had to watch all the cruelty its heartbreaking to remember some of the scenes i saw as a small child. the life on the streets is lonely cold and dangerous. I wish we hade real help to offer them and not these groups who keep them in a tempory lifestyle. Having childhood memories of these places is enough to drive them to the streets and no hope land. So i wish them warmth ans safety now.
